Day 2 Sunset over Kakadu

We had a fully packed itinerary today which started early with a trek around Nourlangie to look at the ancient rock art. But what captured my attention more was the sheer expanse of the flood plains before my eyes at the look out point. Later we had lunch at the Cooinda Lodge and I tried crocodile meat for the first time. It actually tasted pretty good coupled with a tangy lime sauce. After that we headed to Ubirr for more trekking and rock art. But the highlight was to witness the sun set over the flood plains in all its full glory. BEST SUNSET EVER!!! Dinner was back at Kakadu Lodge where we stayed for two nights. The barramundi was really good.
